For my overall capstone project, I am building a video game that asks small children to manipulate a farmer as he goes about the business of farming. By helping Farmer Fred to conserve rainwater, fight weeds and pest and harvest on time, preschoolers will learn how farm tasks work together to impact the crop.
In order to test whether this story-telling game actually works to teach young children about farming, they will play a second game that uses the same images, but no story, only matching tasks.
